Chapter 346: Rita Skitt

    Rita Skitt?

Through the tightly closed door panel, Amoratsu knew who was knocking on the door.

To be honest, Amoratsu had a lot of appreciation for the characteristics displayed by the female journalist. It's not to mention the incident that happened on the day of the press conference. Rita Skitt could discover that he had experienced an attack by a dark wizard during his time at Hogwarts, and found someone who witnessed that incident just to dig out some sensational topics from him. Her persistence was commendable.

Especially, she was able to draw a connection between herself and the dark wizard involved in the attack on Grimmauld Place last year, using 'Burning Blaze' as a starting point. Her sharp and clear thinking was rare to see.

    Knock, knock, knock!

Another round of hurried knocks on the door, Rita Skitt outside seemed very certain that there was someone in the room, an air of not giving up until she got in.

Amorasta raised an eyebrow, pondered for a moment, and then slowly got up to go to the door, opening it.

Rita Skitt's appearance was no different from the last time at the press conference. She had just changed into a brightly colored shirt, and her left hand was now holding that distinctive crocodile handbag, tightly gripping her fist in mid-air, making a swinging motion.

Amoratsu probably guessed that Rita Skitt had already found out about the incident through the Prophet's board of directors. Her expression, before she could conceal it, was filled with anger, but then, realizing that the door had been opened, she changed her expression to an overjoyed one.

"Oh, Amorasta Brian, finding your residence is a very challenging task for an experienced Times journalist, oh, as a hotshot celebrity, I imagine you must have forgotten."

"Actually, you made a deep impression on me, Rita Skitt lady."

Rita's height probably only reached Amorasta's chin, he stared at this unexpected visitor from above, did not give a pleasant look to express his appreciation, on the contrary, he slightly wrinkled his brow and tried to show the reaction of a person who did not want to be disturbed in the face of harassment.

"But I am indeed puzzled, Mrs. Skitt. How did you find out about my room? As far as I know, there aren't many people who know where I live."

"Oh, that's just a trivial question!"

Rita Skitt acted as if she were an old friend of Amorasta, she was not shy to stick her head in, her eyes jumping over Amorasta to snoop around the room at will. When she noticed the thick stack of letters waiting to be replied to by the desk, her eyes lit up and showed great interest.

"You're writing replies to your fans, aren't you? Oh, chatting from outside is too silly. Why can't we go in and talk?"

After saying this sentence, she didn't wait for Amorasta to respond and squeezed in next to him, walked quickly towards the desk filled with letters, seemingly planning to take a look at the contents of the letters before Amorasta had a chance to react.

But unfortunately, her intention failed. Before she could get to the room center, the paper on the desk suddenly jumped, folded into squares in three steps and then slipped into an open envelope beside it. At the same time, the drawer of the desk opened suddenly, all letters quickly disappeared into the drawer and were arranged neatly. Finally, with a clang of the drawer shut, completely isolating Rita Skitt's prying eyes.

"I don't recall inviting you into my room, Mrs. Rita Skitt."

Amorasta dropped his wand and spoke harshly,

"Based on your behavior just now, both Muggle law and Wizard law allow me to arrest you and send you to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement for a period of detention--"

    "Don't be so formal, Amorasta!"

Rita Skitt exaggeratedly grinned, looking around the room. Her eyes soon locked on the glass coffee table and two wicker chairs on the open balcony behind the curtains. She pushed open the floor-to-ceiling glass sliding door by herself, threw her handbag onto the coffee table after unstrapping it, and tousled her curly golden hair with her fingers.

"Why are you still standing at the door, Amorasta? We're about to conduct a highly anticipated interview!"

Rita Skitt grinned widely, her three golden teeth shone brightly in the sunlight.

    "You're quite interesting, Mrs. Skitt--"

Amorasta half-closed his eyes, gave a low laugh, and did not continue to drive her away. After closing the door with his opposite hand, he walked towards the balcony.

By the time Amorasta sat down, Rita Skitt had already taken out the speedwriting quill she had used during the press conference from her bag and a brand new parchment.

"Amorasta, I'm using a speedwriting quill to make notes. You won't object, right? That way, I can free up my hands and talk to you normally."

Amorasta gestured with a hand to indicate that he didn't mind, maintaining a seemingly pleasant smile on his face, but his eyes held no laughter.

"I don't care where you found out my address, Mrs. Skitt. As a professional and well-known journalist, I'm sure you have your own ways to find out things. But I'm curious, why did you waste your time on me? My point is, I'm 'outdated', aren't I? The current topics of interest are Sirius Black. Your colleagues are busy trying to get insider information from the Ministry about Black's arrest --"

Rita Skitt raised an eyebrow that was heavily drawn.

"Don't underestimate yourself, Amorasta. People are still very interested in you, and Sirius Black is the one who is truly out of date."

Amorasta pursed his lips and did not speak, because he noticed that the green speedwriting quill was swooping and soaring over the parchment paper spread out on the glass coffee table:

At the beginning of this conversation that was finally achieved after overcoming many difficulties, Amorasta Brian tried to turn the topic to the current hot topic of Sirius Black's arrest. The young and handsome face showed indifference, but the light that flashed in his strange purple eyes indicated that he was afraid of something. Perhaps, he was afraid that the author would mention the article that should have been revealed to the public long ago, exposing some terrifying truths, but ultimately disappeared quietly due to power.

    "Haha, it's interesting --"

This was the second time Amorasta had made such an exclamation since meeting Rita Skitt.

"You came to my front door specifically to vent your anger about the truth-telling article, Mrs. Skitt?"

Amorasta intertwined his fingers, his smile was very cold,

"I did not do that to solve my own trouble, Mrs. Skitt, but to prevent you from making a mistake and not to mention that there is no evidence to suggest any connection between me and the dark wizard who committed a crime at Grimmauld Place in the suburbs of London."

As for the incident you mentioned in your article about my time at Hogwarts when I was studying there, none of the things you wrote in your article were true, Mrs. Skitt. If that article was really published, I would have taken some actions to protect my reputation."

Rita Skitt is an experienced and tough-talking journalist. In her career, she has interviewed politicians and notable figures from various countries' Magical Ministries. She always takes control of the conversation, making 'bigwigs' falter with her sharp questions and eventually break down their mental barriers.

However, Amorasta Brian seems indifferent to her 'fame'. The young wizard exudes a heavy, ocean-like aura that suppresses her, preventing her from 'freely expressing herself'.

"Pryan and Filoia -- do you still remember their names, Amorasta? Two innocent wizards who were grievously injured by you, isn't that the truth?"

Rita stared intently at Amorasta's eyes, her face with a large chin displaying a stiff smile.

    "Truth?"

    Amorasta couldn't help but laugh.

"Mrs. Skitt, someone like you should understand that the truth is always a relative term, and what both you and the magical community are pursuing is never 'truth'."
